The Miyazaki Wagyu originates from the Miyazaki Prefecture of Japan, which is known for producing the best beef in the world. This delicacy, which has been the winner of the Prime Minister’s Award in Japan for the past 10 years for its outstanding quality, is prepared sous vide style at Arancino at The Kahala. The new menu still includes the restaurant’s signature dishes, which all marked the debut of Arancino at The Kahala’s entrance into Hawaii’s upscale dining scene last year, such as Crostacei di Mare, featuring abalone and ama ebi lightly drizzled with herb oil; and Chitarra alla Pescatora, featuring lobster, clams, shrimp, scallops and calamari with garlic tomato sauce over house-made squid ink Chitarra pasta. An extensive wine list designed by Shinya Tasaki, winner of the World’s Best Sommelier Award in 1995, features 100 different premium wines from Italy and Pacific Rim countries around Hawaii. Expert servers at Arancino at The Kahala are on staff to provide intuitive recommendations for perfect wine pairings to accent the delicate flavors of land and sea.

A new chef’s tasting menu featuring five courses is also available for $85 or with wine pairings for $110. Arancino at The Kahala will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch, and 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for dinner.
